Go with the flow.
The secret to the cool, state-of-the-art comfort of Aerus is superior air flow. Due to its unique open-cell construction, Aerus allows air to flow through the material approximately eight times more efficiently than traditional viscoelastics (See Figure 1). That means both heat and moisture dissipate quickly to preserve optimal comfort.

Always cool. Always comfortable.
When Aerus and a competitive viscoelastic material were heated and air was drawn through them at an equal pressure, Aerus cooled up to 10 times faster than other memory foam material (see Figure 2). Even under the warmest conditions, Aerus will stay cooler than other memory foam materials.

This study was undertaken to illustrate the greater propensity of the open-cell visco to cool correctively as a result of its reduced resistance to air flow. This study was performed under controlled conditions. The actual cooling benefit experienced by the user will be highly dependent on the environmental conditions and the individual's sensitivity.

Open and more durable.
Foamex, the inventor of the patented reticulation technology, has applied its expertise memory foams to create Aerus, a remarkably durable open-cell material. When compared to other viscoelastic materials, the structure of Aerus is a clean, robust honeycomb, showing consistent cell structure and virtually no films or window panes (See Figure 3).
